Managed Website Care and Maintenance

Your site kept fast, current, secure, and found — updates, backups, monitoring, and ongoing optimization handled on a monthly plan, so it never quietly rots between projects.

Sites rot quietly between projects. Plugins and dependencies go stale, the backup nobody has tested turns out not to restore, security headers drift as browsers move on, the content on the page stops matching the business, and the rankings you paid to earn slip a little every month. Nothing breaks loudly — it just gets slower, less secure, and less found until one day something falls over and you are scrambling.

Managed website care is the fix for that slow drift: your site kept fast, current, secure, and found on a monthly plan. As a senior engineer I run site care the way I run any production system — monitored, patched, backed up, and documented — not as a checkbox once a quarter. It is optional, month to month, and remote-first from Fort Worth and across the DFW metro.

What ongoing care covers

The baseline is keeping the lights on and the doors locked: software and dependency updates, daily backups with tested restores, and uptime and security monitoring so a problem reaches me before it reaches your customers. On top of that I handle small content edits on request, watch performance and Core Web Vitals, and keep the optimization work from decaying — ongoing SEO, AEO, and WCAG upkeep, including keeping your schema.org structured data current as the site and the standards change.

A backup you have never restored is a rumor, not a backup. Monitoring, patching, and backups are the daily bread of production operations, so the care here is run like real ops — you get a report, not a shrug, and the quiet drift never gets a foothold.

The three plans

Care comes in three tiers so you pay for what your site actually needs. Every plan is by quote — scoped to your site’s size and stack, with a fixed monthly figure and no invented pricing.

  • Essential Care: keep it running — software and dependency updates, daily tested backups, uptime and security monitoring, small content edits on request, and a monthly health report.
  • Growth: everything in Essential, plus ongoing SEO and AEO tuning, monthly content and schema updates, Core Web Vitals monitoring, and a quarterly visibility review.
  • Compliance: everything in Growth, plus WCAG 2.2 AA monitoring, a quarterly accessibility audit and remediation, GEO citation upkeep, and priority turnaround.

It stays yours the whole time: code in your repository, hosting on your account, and the domain in your name — optional care with no proprietary lock-in, cancel anytime.

How I work it, and why me

This is deliberately not an open-ended agency retainer that bills for vague hours. Each plan is a defined scope of recurring work with a report attached, so you can see what was updated, what was backed up, and what moved. If your needs grow past the tier you are on, we move you up on purpose — not by surprise on the invoice.

If your site is live and you would rather it stay fast, current, and found than slowly decay, tell me the domain and what you sell, and I will come back the same day with a fit assessment and either a quote or a referral.

Common questions

Am I locked in? Can I cancel?

You own your site — the code is in your repository, the hosting is on your account, and the domain is in your name. Managed care is optional ongoing work, month to month, and you can cancel anytime. Nothing about the plan holds your site hostage; if you stop, you keep everything and it stays online.

What do the plans cost?

Every plan is by quote. Sites differ in size, stack, and how much upkeep they actually need, so I scope Essential Care, Growth, or Compliance to your site and give you a fixed monthly figure — no surprise line items. Tell me the domain and I will come back the same day with a fit assessment and a quote or a referral.

Do you work fully remote?

Yes. Updates, backups, monitoring, and reporting are remote-first end to end. I am based in Fort Worth and can meet in person across the Dallas–Fort Worth metro if you prefer a face-to-face kickoff.

Have a project like this?

Tell me the environment, the timeline, and your constraints. I reply the same business day with a fit assessment and either a quote or a referral.
